A domain name is the name of your website (e.g. www.yourwebsite.com). A hosting provider is a company that you choose to rent memory space from to store your website, making it accessible from anywhere, at anytime. If you’ve never had a website before they can be tricky to set up and connect. No worries! I’m here to help. I can provide tips on how to choose your domain name and hosting, assist you in registering it and in connecting it to your website.

Together we’ll develop a colour palette that is pleasing to the eye, functional and reflects your company’s image. Drawing on my knowledge of colour theory and colour psychology, your website won’t go unnoticed. I will layout a website map at the beginning of the design process aiming to give an excellent user experience with clear and easy-to-access information.

5 Steps to Your Website
-
Get in contact through the contact form providing as many details as possible about your business, the type of website you need and your budget, if you have one. If you have an active website and you need a revamp, then provide the name of the platform it was built with if possible. I’ll aim to answer within two working days to set up a call and further discuss the project. After the call I’ll aim to prepare a quote and a design draft within 48hrs.
-
Once we’re both happy with the quote, I’ll give a bit more shape to the design and we’ll define all the material needed to start building the website.
-
After receiving all the material for your website, I can start with construction. Depending on the type of the website, on how many pages and on the extent of graphic content required, this part of the process may take anywhere between 2 and 4 weeks. I will work to a pre-agreed schedule and update you on the progress at least once a week.
-
I will present to you the fully working website and test it online before connecting it to your domain. Once I have your approval we will then go live. Congratulations on your new website!
-
At this point there are two directions: if you have decided you’d like me to assist you in the maintenance of your website we’ll set up a plan for updates and a date for our next communication. Alternatively, if you’re confident that you’ve got the time to put into it, I can offer you basic training in WordPress specific to your needs (adding products, posting blogposts, etc). I’ll give you the login credentials to WordPress and you’ll be independent.
